And yet another pattern I just picked up. I can’t wait to make my little one a lightweight fall jacket with this one. Of course, with temps today being in the 90′s it’s hard to believe she’s going to need it soon even with the colorful leaves! Thanks for a great pattern review!

I made my son one of these last winter using a mid weight denim and some cotton fabric and it turned out great. I did add some extra top stitching to make the seams lay nice and flat. I like that this pattern comes in such a variety of sizes so that I can keep making him new ones as he gets too big for the old ones.

I LOVE this jacket!! I’m inspired now to make one for each of my boys! I think I’ll “borrow” the buttons idea for the front as my boys are also learning to dress themselves!

Thanks for the review – this jacket looks really versatile. It would be great in cord with a fleece lining for autumn.
