Woo hoo! MelissaB in Washington helped push us over 1000 members in the Sew, Mama, Sew! general photo pool. You all have been busy… Here are just a few of the many fun, crafty items catching our eyes:
Bags (lined up in a row) by Alice, Raspberry
Alice is based in the UK. She does some nice work with felting and also has a great way with just the right embellishments for the perfect bag. Enjoy her blog, Raspberry, and her Flickr site. Alice also has a lovely Etsy shop, complete with her latest tote design (perfect for Fall!).
Bento Box Quilt by Lauren, My Aunt June
Lauren created this beautiful quilt with a pattern by Tracey Brookshier. Here it is all laid out, and here post-first wash, “squishified.” Lauren wrote more about the quilt (and all of that quilting!) on her blog, My Aunt June. For more on Lauren’s creations visit her Flickr site too.
Linen Pants by Mary Beth, Salt and Chocolate
We love all of the cute, little pants popping up for the new season. Mary Beth made these linen pants (complete with a little Heather Ross) from an Old Navy dress she recently shortened. They’ve been a favorite for her son Rainer so she’s planning on making a winter version too. Enjoy Mary Beth’s blog, Salt and Chocolate, and her Flickr site (look how prepared she is for holiday gift giving!).
Mushroom Pincushions by Jocelan, cutesypoo
Jocelan drew the mushroom design for these pincushions herself, then used her Gocco to print them on Japanese linen. She added some aroma beads with the stuffing for an extra touch. Jocelan sells these and more in her Etsy shop and has new toys selling in the Bettyjoy shop. For more visit Jocelan’s website, cutesypoo, and her Flickr site (where you can find photos of many of her handmade toys).
