We stayed home on Friday…and I was sewing up some Christmas Stockings!

  2. I agree….i’m loving all this ideas… more week is not enough!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Tammy says:

One more week?? NO!!! I have been loving these new crafty bits. I’ve seen several that I am going to use for Christmas this year, and for other gifts later. I wish this could be an ongoing topic.

I was out super early with my daughter yesterday. We like to hit JCPennys for their sweater sales, and my daughter needed an outfit for a semi-formal dance in January, so she scored good on that. We were home by 8:15 am, and then had a good breakfast. We had fun, but we did not go as early as some of those crazies out there. (I mean that in a good way, we didn’t seen any mean people at all while we were shopping)

    Have a good weekend!

  4. Amber says:

This is exactly what I did – although I am venturing out today to a big craft fair!!

  5. Kerri says:

Happy Craft Saturday! Heck, Happy Craft *every* day…just learned my sister is buying handmade for Christmas and I’m so proud of her.

  6. Addie says:

    only one more week?!?

  7. LisaAlso says:

One month isn’t enough! These have been fantastic ideas, but I need more! Can we continue this as Desperation December?

  8. Christina says:

Please, please, continue with the gift giving ideas all throughout December! They’re just so great posts; I look forward to checking your site each and everyday:) It’s like an advent calendar…

  9. Jenny says:

Thank you for the Handmade Holiday series! It has been very inspiring and I eagerly await each day’s post. ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Anne like me……………?Not me?
    Not possible.
Well, today, I like the weewonderfuls idea, and I have a birthday gift to do (between other works!)
Your site is dangerous, because, after reading we have pin’s and neddles in the fingers (it’s a french expression, difficult to translate probably.;)
    Read you tomorrow

  11. I just found this site and I am loving it. I can not wait to get sewing. Thanks to everyone for sharing your craftiness with all of us!!

  12. Kristin says:

Craft Friday is a great idea! I cleaned my studio and got some knitting done today, so no shopping for me. I’ve never once gotten out there for shopping the day of after Thanksgiving. It sounds barbaric!

  13. Great idea! I did a bit of shopping for craft materials at my local fabric store in the wee hours this morning. I came home and crawled in back in bed with my babes. Does that count? lol.

  14. LouAnne says:

I like the idea of Craft Friday! Found your site the other day and am loving checking every morning to see what the new post is for. I am trying to make a LOT of my gifts this year and just buying for the itty-bitty grands. The older ones want gas cards! Price of gas is changing our world. We won’t even be with the grands this Christmas; they are too far away!

  15. congrats ladies!! and happy craft friday everyone!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Natalie says:

My black friday was spent making lots of goodies for Christmas.

  17. Jennifer says:

Love the idea of Craft Friday…Have to admit, tho, I was one of the loonies out by 6am. You would have found me at JoAnn’s Fabrics, picking up flannel and fleece for Christmas presents that I am making. *LOL* Now, I will be VERY busy. I am so pleased with the 30 day ideas. Thanks so much for putting these together!

  18. Missy says:

Thank you so much! I can’t believe I won. I’ve been LOVING all the great ideas!!!

  19. Andrea says:

Wow! I just found this site today and I am totally INSPIRED! I even sent hubby to the store for supplies so the sewing can begin again, tonight ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. Christie says:

We usually spend the whole weekend trying to do only things that we’re thankful for. That definitely includes sewing. Not so much shopping.

  21. I didn’t plan on doing any shopping, but a $35 Pan’s Labyrinth DVD for 8.99 was calling me. Oddly enough, though, the store I was in had almost no people in it. The rest of the day is off to sewing, knitting and some Christmas decorating!

  22. Mette says:

Just a week left! That’s not good!

  23. Angela says:

Does going to a craft store to buy supplies to make crafts count? Hmmmn…especially if they have REALLY good deals on embroidery floss? Yeah — not so sure, but the rest of my day will be spent playing with my fabrics!

  24. riotinside says:

Sitting at work, wishing I was home sewing. I’ve already got a pile of Christmas crafts, but some of the handmade holidays items are too cute to ignore–namely the adorable bibs (17th) and that luscious square bag (18th). Maybe if I’m not too pooped when I get home!

  25. erin rae says:

We live so close to lots of shopping, I’m terrified of even leaving the house today and dealing with the masses! ๐Ÿ™‚

Craft Friday it is. Off to my studio to finish the doggie crate cover I’m sewing…

  26. Beth says:

I just discovered the Handmade Holidays and they are incredible. I can hardly wait to check for the new entry every day! I wish it could go on longer.
    Thanks SO much!

  27. Saidagrrl says:

Now if I could only craft more time to make sure I can make all the gifts I want to give this holiday season. Your tutuorials help a lot though – thanks!

  28. Tammy says:

I’m sewing this afternoon for sure! No crazy shopping for me! ๐Ÿ™‚

  29. SuZ from NJ says:

ahhhh…too late for me !!! I went shopping at 6AM this morning & was home by 9AM….but I am spending the rest of the day sewing….!

  30. renee says:

Nooooooo! There can’t be only one more week. I’m loving these ideas!

  31. nalani says:

Well, I am of the same mind but I actually saw a few bargains in the newspaper ads. The only thing that stopped me is that I deposited my pay check too late and it takes my bank 3 BUSINESS days to clear a local check. So, I’m happily cleaning away so I can get on top of my stash and my workplace for creating all those gifts!

Thanks so much for the Handmade Holidays series!
