December 13 ~ Deck the halls with…

on December 13 | in Sewing Inspiration | by | with 68 Comments

Today we have some fun ideas for holiday decorations. Find more ideas in our Fabric Ornaments tutorial compilation. Don’t forget to comment anywhere on the blog for your chance to win one of two $25 gift certificates to Sew,Mama,Sew! each Friday!

How are you decking the halls? Tell us all about it, and show us too!

Felt Hearts
By Tanya, CutieGoodie

We think Tanya’s felt hearts would make fun holiday decorations with the addition of a little ribbon loop at the top. Her playful embellishments would be great on other simple, felt shapes like stars too and children would likely have a lot of fun with this project. Tanya has her CuteGoodie blog in Russian, is working on an English version and also posts photos of her work to Flickr.

Scrap Wreath
By Kate, Redheaded Snip It

We love all of Kate’s holiday fun on her blog and Flickr site. From her scrap wreath ornament (Kate suggests folding the scraps and wire for a wreath much bigger than this 3-4 inch diameter version), bottle cap wreath, and soft tree farm to her log cabin pillows (not just “holiday,” but very festive/joyful!)… We love it all! Make your own festive pillow too.
