House Mini Quilt
By Soph, stitch

This mini-quilt is A4 size and hand-pieced and hand-quilted with a turned/fused appliqué.

Soph writes, “The idea initially came from seeing a Japanese craft book that stuck in my mind (this one) and the specifics of the design came partly from the fabrics themselves and partly influenced by Alex at Moonstitches and Hillary Lang.” Soph adds that the finishing touches on the house were inspired by this artist. This is really a lovely mini-quilt. I usually prefer making small works, because I´m a person who loves details and mini-quilts are great for that, including using other techniques together, as embroidery and painting. The possibilities are endless!
