By Alison, daisy.chain.

Alison’s first quilt was based on Amy Karol’s lap quilt from Bend The Rules Sewing.

She writes, “I used ‘cloth’ fabric in linen, silk, cotton and hemp, organic cotton batting and linen for the back. I followed the directions from Denyse Schmidt Quilts to quilt (with off-white cotton thread) and make the binding (binding fabric is Amy Butler cotton). Some seams I joined with the back of the flatlock stitch on my serger with woolly nylon in the upper looper. Embroidery in linen thread was done on squares that looked a bit plain.” Find more views in Alison’s Quilted photo set.
