  • KB writes, “My blog is called A Patchwork World. I’m having a contest to celebrate the second anniversary of my blog, my 200th post, and Earth Day (all three happened to land on the same day). The grand prize is one of my kokoleo reversible grocery totes and 4 runners up will receive funky little notepads. To enter, simply sign up in the comments section.”
  • Stacy writes, “I have recently learned to sew… I just sewed my first skirt ever this weekend! I didn’t use a pattern, I just had a skirt that I really liked and used it as my guide. I am so pleased with how it turned out!” See more views of the new skirt on Stacy’s Love Never Fails blog.
  • Georgia from Puking Pastilles writes, “My kids (2, 4, and 5) made and donated fabric postcards for the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative (website here). The Initiative wrote a press release about it (here) and they are currently for sale on the AAQI website! They are under the Mother’s Day Fabric Postcards here (numbers 2140-2145). My sister has a postcard there as well, #2091.” Find more on Georgia’s blog and Flickr site.
  • Kati made this new bag she’s “super excited” about! Learn more on her kate, i design blog and see a variety of views in this Flickr set.
  • Rae has a free baby dress pattern available on her Made By Rae blog. She thinks it would be fun to make for the summer!
  • Charity writes, “I’m in the middle of planning a fun little Mother-Daughter Sewing Bee and Luncheon. I’m having 5 women and their 8 teenage daughters over and we will be creating skirts for The Hundred Skirts Project (a benefit for an all-girls orphanage in Guatemala). I made these memo pads to go into their goodie bags. I’m now working on the needle books and they are promising to be just as cute!” Learn more on Charity’s Vintage Threads blog.
