We’ve had so many informative articles from our contributors lately. We hope you’re enjoying Women’s Clothing Month and that you’re learning (and sewing) a lot! Don’t forget about the photo pool for sharing images of the clothing you make. There’s also lots of great information in the new SMS Forum (the perfect place for your sewing questions, and for conversations about our sew-along, patterns, etc.).

This week we’ll give away one yard of fabric to four people. To enter, comment through Monday on any of our recent Women’s Clothing Month posts:

‘Seam finishes’ hands down was the best comparison!

  6. Joy says:

The info on how to adjust pants patterns was absolutely perfect! I make simple,
fast pants (often from old sheets) as they seem to be cooler than shorts in the summer.
I either end up with their being too tight or, worse!, looking like a toddler “carrying
a load” with the pants to balloony in the butt! Or the rise that’s wrong and I end up
with the crotch halfway to my knees!

Between the pants adjustment instructions and making a muslin, I’m covered!
Plus, I would definitely wear the muslin at my house! It would make some great sleep pants!
My husband keeps the air really cold in the summer so pants are a necessity!

  7. Debbie Kenny says:
