I just finished a child’s activity book and last week-end lined tote bags. This week-end I am off for a short vacation with my hubby and not allowed to take the computer. See my items here

Just finished making some inchies. My first ever. They are small 1″ embellishments to add to any craft project. What fun. Can’t wait to make some more of these.

  3. In May I organised a “mini-quilt swap” where everyone had one partner. But as I was sorting out the pairs I realised that I didn’t want just one partner for myself so I asked if anyone wanted to do a “mini mini-quilt swap” directly with me (as well as their official partner) – 23 of my wonderful bloggy friends said yes so I am building an incredible quilt wall at my house with beautiful pieces of work from around the world and at the same time sewing my fingers off making all the return quilts! It has been great fun and we have a flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/719671@N25/pool/) for the main mini-quilt swap and I am putting regular updates of the quilt wall on my blog
    – pop over if you would like to see my fantastic wall! Lucy x

I’m very pleased with a tutorial that I’ve done on how to make fabric flowers from scrap fabric – the tutorial can be seen here: http://sewingbusiness.com/2008/06/09/flowers-from-fabric-remnants.aspx
Also shown are several ways to use those “scrap” flowers – as decorations on children’s clothing, in quilts or wall hangings, and even as a bouquet of flowers for a centerpiece.

I’ve been on a bag spree: here’s the proof!

I’m especially proud of the Button Bag, which is my own design. I may just write up the pattern, even!

I’ve been making up some pincushions, the old “tomato” style 🙂 You can see them on my blog 🙂

I want to share my recent/current project so badly. But I can’t show any pictures. I am making my own wedding dress!! It is turning out beautifully. I’ve never done anything like this before. I can’t share pictures because I don’t want my fiance to see it until the wedding in September.

I made hemp shower curtain liners a little over week ago–with grommets! There are a couple of pix at my blog. They’re not fancy, but highly functional, and much greener than the plastic ones we had.

I just finished writing a tutorial for my latest purse creation – the Pleated Purse. Check it out at http://www.thebolsachica.etsy.com

ok – it worked that time – the first message that mustn’t have worked said :

I’m excited about putting my first submission in to this project (above link) – I made a little embroidered piece which I will sew into a little art quilt this week – very fun!
