I’ve used the stardust shoes pattern for many pairs of these. I love the orange with the alligators. Too cute!
You can also size up the pattern but you have to use jiffy grip on the soles so the littles wont slip.

Those are so cute. I made shoes like those for my little ones when they were babies with leather on the soles so they could use them in place of shoes. So much cheaper than the popular brands of soft soled shoes and so much better for the little ones’ feet! Thanks for sharing! I can’t wait to see what else is in store for us!

Cute material! I recently made some baby shoes and found they were super easy to make for how small they are. I used flannel for both in the inside and outside, and recycled an old leather jacket of mine for the soles.

I LOVE these! I have tried making similar booties a few times for my little 3-month old girlie and I love them. And I love that this month is fat quarter month. My husband is still a student so I have a pretty strict budget for crafty love… When I spy a new or fun fabric print I usually can’t afford to get a lot of it… so I settle for a fat quarter and use it in a few projects, love fat quarters, they’re my best friends!!

I’m loving this month! Fat quarters are a way for me to feed my fabric addiction yet keep my closet, budget and hubby happy. My second daughter LOVES the color orange…I’m sure I could really whip up something great for her with some orange quarters.

Love the booties. I used the star dust pattern, and have made my little girl three pair already and she is the talk of the nursery at church.
I have always loved fat quarters, but I have never bought them because I wasn’t sure what you could do with them, as I don’t quilt. I think next time I am at my fabric store I will buy a couple fq’s to make these baby booties for shower gifts.

Oh my, I need that Gator fabric. My son’s room is decorated with orange and blue for the University of Florida Gators! I am planning a Trip to Ireland quilt for his big boy bed and some orange fat quarters would be a big start! It’s like this post was written for me.
Oh, and on a side note, one of my best friends from college is having a baby soon, and if I were to ship her those baby booties in gator fabric, she’d be ecstatic! I mean it’s like this post was so totally written for me! I’m downloading instructions as I type!

Thanks for your kind comments everyone! I use my own pattern for those booties and I haven’t made a tutorial for them, yet. It’s on my ever-growing “to-do” list for when my daughter gets a bit older and I get some more time back to myself (will that ever happen?!?). For now, i just sell the finished product in my shop.

I love orange and I love baby booties. Feet are the cutest parts on a baby. Reading all about fat quarters is making me want to start a quilt. The last quilt I made must have been 5 or 6 years ago. I would love to start one for a preschool fundraiser. Is there a book out there all about sewing with fat quarters?
