I like the Indygo Junction Bias Skirt Pattern. The one with the lines is my favorite. I drive by a medical building with a very modern glass and metal facade near my office every day. As the sun sets in the afternoons, the glass and metal framing of the building show all of those colors. I find it mesmerizing and it makes being stuck in traffic seem not so annoying sometimes! I’ve been thinking about painting with those colors and a similar geometric design on the wall in my guest bedroom. Now to see it in the skirt pattern…well I’m in love with it.

If I had to choose just one of the patterns above it would definitely be the Macaron Dress by Colette Patterns. There are many reasons for my choice but I’ll cut it down to three:
1.) I follow Colette’s blog and have become infatuated with her design sense, style and her overall taste.
2.) The pattern is totally multi use, made in a silk satin it would be an amazing date dress, made in a medium weight quilters cotton it would be a super cute day dress. Not only that, but the construction lends itself to being an amazing stash buster- something to suck up all those bits of fabric I’ve got hanging around.
3.) All of Colette’s patterns are beautifully sized, have great proportions, and combine vintage style with current fashion silhouettes.
As I said there are a million more reasons to choose this little number but I think I’ve wrote about the top three. Thanks for offering such a comprehensive give away!

  257. Debbie Y says:

It took me forever to choose the fabrics for the belle skirt – mixing and matching a bunch of beautiful prints (this is from someone who once wore only solids – blue skirt, white blouse) and now I just want to keep matching up prints. I have made several skirts and now want to venture into new territory and the blouse looks like it could be just the project. (plus I have never heard of her nor seen her patterns reviewed)

I LOVE the Amy Butler Mini-dress and tunic pattern! When I was a little girl, I would sneak into my mom’s closet and try on her cute, hippy style mini-dresses and shoes. This dress reminds me of my favorite one, which was a beautiful lavender and turquoise swirl design, in a raw cotton and linen blend fabric. Imagine her surprise if I finally had my own! (She also loved that dress, and still keeps it – she can not part with it, even though it no longer fits!) :-)

Thank you for the walk down memory lane!

  762. Katie Mitchell says:

  814. Crystal says:

I think all of the patterns look great. However, the Colette patterns stand out for me as the drawing of model on the cover is curvy. It is refreshing to see a model that is shaped like me. It gives a curvy gal like myself a better idea of how a garment may look on me.

  820. Aimee says:

Wow…so many awesome ones to choose (and honestly my husband declares: “do you really need another pattern or more fabric?” He totally doesn’t get it!) I’m thinking that my fav from above would be the Favorite Things Uptown Coat. I love coat patterns (have quite a stash of them) but can’t seem to be brave enough to tackle them…yet!

  821. molly says:

I love the Uptown Coat pattern but realistically, if I was to win, the Little Smarty Pants pattern would be a good place for me to start! There are so many great patterns though, hard to choose.

  822. The Indygo Junction In-Over-Your-Head Apron is my favorite. I love to cook, so if I can look nice in a pretty apron while I do it, all the better.

  831. Mari says:

I love, love, love all of the Colette patterns! Everything about them from the packaging to the patterns, themselves, is just beautiful. 837. Intaly Karlheim says:

I just taught myself how to sew and now I want to sew everything!! I love the bag!

  839. Cinnamon Scott says:

My favorite pattern is the mini dress tunic top. It’s perfect for summer–easy to wear and billowy enough to catch a nice cool draft. I also like the biased skirt from Indygo Junction.

  840. natalie fearnley says:

That childrens Hooded Jacket pattern in Favourite Things is just gorgeous, it is freezing here in Australia today and that is exactly what the kids needed to be wearing. :-)

    Thanks!

  844. Ashley Langley says:

I love them all! However, I have been coveting AB’s Blue Sky Hat and Nappy Bag. I love the Indygo Junction aprons too!

  845. Molly B. says:

I love them all but I’d pick the Amy Butler sophisticate skirts. They just look like something I’d wear a lot! I love skirts in the summer . . .

  846. Andi says:

So many great patterns – how to choose a favourite? I must admit that I have not seen Lila Tueller patterns before (thanks again SMS for introducing me to new items in the sewing world!) and I love the look of that peasant blouse. I love wearing peasant blouses, but haven’t made one yet and this one looks fun!

  847. Melanie says:

Lordy lordy how to choose … I guess for me it’s the Indygo Junction Best Bias skirt. Why? Because I recently bought some beautiful Japanese cotton/linen blend fabric and am keen to make myself a skirt with it. Having not sewn for 20 years I recently decided to take the plunge and buy myself a machine and am now obsessed! Having made clothes for the kids, a quilt, a couple of bags and some dolls bedding (in three months!), I reckon it’s my turn now!

  848. natasha says:

I love the Amy BUtler Mini dress, tunic and tops pattern! It is one of the first “Girly” patterns that I have seen that has something “I” would wear ;)

  852. alisha says:

Usually I stick with skirts and tunic tops — things that I know I would wear and feel comfortable making. But I love the uptown coat from Favorite Things and would love to try to expand my sewing horizons. Plus, if I got the pattern now, maybe I’d have time to complete the project before it’s coat-wearing season. :)

  853. Gillian says:

I love the Audrey dress. Simple styling and high on comfort!

  854. aha! amy butler’s mini dress, tunic and tops or lila tuelller’s sophisticate skirt??? Argh, a decision required and at the end of a loong day (with sore fingers from pinning seven pairs of kids trousers)…i’ll go with the heart…it has to be amy’s tunic pattern. It could be because winter has set in here in piha, new zealand and i am craving weather to be able to wear it in. It could be because since i started my blog, someone sent me the link to amy’s angry chicken and i am loving it. (That irreverence…gotta love that) And finally, because it looks so darn delicious and I WANT ONE…or, as soon as i have gotten the line of kids trousers, the mending, and the several other projects done and dusted.

  855. tasha roe says:

What a fun contest!! The Uptown Coat by Favorite Things Sewing has to be at the top of my list! It makes this “summer-lovin girl” long for chilly fall & winter days. That and I love the fact that it looks off the rack from Anthropologie – and I wouldn’t have paid $400. Double Score!

  856. Kat says:

Its hard to pick just one pattern but I love the Collette patterns especially the eclair dress and the parfait dress.

  857. Carol Radcliffe says:

I would love to make the apron “In Over Your Head” pattern! What a wonderful pattern that can be tailored to all body types!!! I love the collar! I don’t have an apron, but would love to make one and hang it in my kitchen. That way I can put it on whenever I am cooking in order not to get my clothes dirty. I think if you have one hanging there, you will use it. So please pick me! Thank you!

  858. pat says:

Time to think of bringing out those fall fabrics. Amy Butler’s new tunic pattern would look wonderful in fall colors…

  859. Caroline says:

Since all of my sewing attempts have been for my 6 year old DD, I would love to try the Little Belle Skirt from Favorite Things. My DD is definitely a “Southern Belle” in the making. BTW, I love reading your blog. I always get such great ideas and leave it feeling I can sew anything!

  860. MARIANNA says:

I love Amy’s Butler Mini Dress and Tunic, and the reason will be(????), really just look at the picture. That’s is the reason.

There’s a lot to choose from! I like the Amy Butler field bag and tote, it looks big enough that all my stuff would fit in it.

  862. Kymy K. says:

I love the Indigo Junction ‘In-Over-Your-Head Apron’ pattern. It is super cute, retro & feminine, while at the same time it is simple, practical & versatile! I have a thing for aprons, & this one is actually different then the other patterns out there ~ excluding buying vintage of course (unlike a lot of the recent patterns that have 6 variations by different designers).

What an exciting give away, now I have a cart full of temptation :).

  863. uta says:

My favorite would be the Sophisticate Skirt from Lila Tueller Design, because I sew a lot for my DD but so seldom for me. And I want a skirt, just now :-)

    greetings Wiek

  866. Rebecca says:

I love the Colette skirt pattern! I’ve been dying to try it. It is such a sassy pencil skirt, and I’m sure it will look great on all body types!

  867. Bridget says:

I love the uptown coat by favourite things

  868. Kathinka says:

That will be the Amy Butler Mini Dress & Tunic pattern… Why? Because I simply love all her designs.
