***For everyone looking for the pattern*** It seems to be from DMC’s 2003 catalogue and no longer available, but I found this copy of the pattern online –

This is really lovely. I’m just starting to get back into cross stitch, and I love the purposeful way in which the fabric is used in this kit: rather than meaning to be hidden, it looks so nice as the background for the stitching.

This is stunning! I might have to pick up the kit myself!!!

  21. tanja says:

  22. Kathy says:

Beautiful. I love the look of cross stitch on evenweave cloth. I have done quite a lot on Aida cloth, but thought that evenweave would be too difficult. Some day I’ll give it a try…

That’s really beautiful, much nicer than I’d expect from a commercial pattern – it reminds me very much of patterns that the Danish Handcraft Guild produces, like Gerda Bengtsson’s stuff.

Amazing. Funny how if I see a dandelion pop up in my yard I run for the weed killer, but these dandelions I think are just as precious as can be!

(And I know that dandelions can really be good for you, but I’m horribly allergic and once I get one, they take up the whole lawn!) I’d MUCH rather have them hanging on my wall like this!

Oh my! All those cross stitches. Years ago, when I was about 13 or 14 yrs old, I embroidered a wall hanging of two young kids walking up a staircase. The border was different children’s toys that were different embroidery stitches while the body of the design was a poem, all in cross stitch. It took me several hours to draw the design onto my muslin piece. LOL
