Fabric Card by Jacquie, Tallgrass Prairie Studio

Jacquie made a set of six of these cards as a gift using directions in Denyse Schmidt Quilts. She adds that it’s an excellent project for scraps; she writes, “Scraps are treasures to me and I save just about every bit of leftover fabric.”

I just made my son’s birthday invitations out of hand-me-down scrap fabrics from my mother-in-law. I used the original pieces she gave me to make a quilt for a friend’s baby a few years ago and was pleased to be able to use some of the tiny strips and squares I had leftover for my son’s birthday invitations.
