Fabric Tea Bags by Kathy & Heather, Merriment Design

Kelly writes, “The idea and design is by Heather Crosby, my frequent creative partner in crime, when we collaborated on an Upper Crust Ladies’ Tea Party. I have posted free step-by-step instructions and templates for the teabags at my free crafting website, MerrimentDesign.com, where my motto is to craft and pass it on!”

These would be fun at a wedding shower. We also love the embroidered look, like in Jessie’s version. Jessie suggested using this style of small “tea” bag to hold rice or birdseed (better for the birds!) too.

Comment in any post this week for your chance to win one of these great prizes: 24 Spool Collection from Coats & Clark; $15 Gift Certificate to Celtic Cloths; $15 gift certificate to Layne James Embroidery and Design; $15 gift certificate to Sew,Mama,Sew! Take a look at the February “True Love” prize master list to see other great prizes we’ll be giving away this month.

I love tea and would love to have a tea party themed shower where the favor was to be given an empty fabric tea bag to fill with your favorite loose tea flavor or combo! OOh! Even better idea! Each guest could fill a bag for the bride and groom and write their wishes on the tag! So cute!
