Triangles Quilt by Abi, *Snippets and Blabbery*

Abi writes, “…I was kind of following Denyse Schmidt’s pattern from her book Quilts, but I think she calls for 6″ squares, and I used a couple charm packs. So they were smaller 5″ squares. And then I wanted to enlarge it, but I didn’t do my math very well. I added triangles to the ends of the rows, which resulted in a very short, wide quilt. By that point, I was a little tired of the small triangles, so I made a couple rows of big triangles for the top and bottom. I had a lot of yardage of a few prints… so I made the top and bottom big-triangle rows all the same color. This is still my favorite pattern using charm squares– so simple. My lines aren’t perfect, and my quilting is pretty crazy, but that’s how it goes sometimes!”
