Sewn by Corinnea, Corinnea’s Chaos

Pattern: Schoolhouse Tunic

Corinnea writes, “The pattern I used is the Schoolhouse Tunic. I truly am in love with this pattern because it flatters all body styles and ages of women. It is comfortable but it is NOT frumpy. The pattern directions are simple and an intermediate sewer can put this together in just a couple of hours. For this version I used Art Gallery Fabrics Spellbound line in Chalky Silhouettes. I guess the one thing I’d like to do is to encourage people to try new things with the patterns they have. Don’t be afraid to change things, shorten sleeves, add ruffles or a front closure. One friend added a casing around the bodice for a more fitted look… Just try, it’s only fabric; you can always make a quilt instead.”

Don’t miss Corinnea’s “clothing set” with some great versions of the Uptown Coat and much more.
