    My teen daughter has suddenly realized that she doesn’t want to look just like her friends and that by picking fabric and patterns she can get her own look. This month I made her a sundress and a high waisted skirt. They came out great and she loves them.

    I just decided I hate the clothes in the stores. They don’t fit the way I want, the fabric is not right so I’m going to make some clothes for this summer. I started sewing clothes in the ’70’s because my skin couldn’t take all that polyester. So glad I know how to sew!

    I finally got my photo of the flower girls dress to load, I made it for a friend’s daughter and had to spend the night before the wedding sewing on beads because she wanted to be like the big girls with their beaded dresses. Now off to finish two Belle dresses for my grand daughters, yes I sew for the little girls in my life and not me, so much more fun watching their little faces light up with a new dress

    My first time commenting here. I have been busy doing embroidry on towel sets for different customer and doing sewing repairs for others. I never thought to take pictures of the different sewing projects that I have done. Now I plan on getting my camera out and having it ready to snap those pictures to email in.

    Great–the prizes sound like just what I needed to get moving again toward my sewing studio.

    Found some excellent tropical fabric to make a jazzy summer shirt for my grandson. He’s only 6 1/2 but he’s already “stylin'” and wanting to “look good for the ladies”.
    I told his mom (my daughter) we don’t stand a chance when he hits the teenage years if he’s already thinking like this!!
