Glad I discovered this on google .

  2. Tricia Jones says:

A serger a serger oh what a great thing.
I certainly could make it just sing.

I’d put it to work, and sew up some clothes.
Finish off edges, sew seams, and then doze.

That Husky just makes me pine.
I’d polish up projects and make them shine.

There’s so many things that this serger could do.
Stitch, clip, and lock, just to name a few.

I’d have to invest in some cones wound with thread.
Then I’d whip up some projects that dance through my head.

I’ll use it with knits, synthetics, and cotton.
I’ll serge all my edges so they don’t look rotten.

Now I ask, no I plead, oh won’t you consider…
this little old girl, and make me the winner.

    Please count me in. 🙂

A Husky serger….does it get any better than that? I love to sew authentic Renaissance and colonial period dress along with gifts for family and friends. This would be nice.

  5. kristin says:

I just quit my job (for my sanity), and I hope to put my hands to use! This would be PERFECT to kick start the creativity! thanks for the opportunity to win!

  6. Jeanne Wolfe says:

I think I have a compelling reason to hope to win this serger…unfortunately, as a victim of the California budget crisis, I had to sell my video camera, so no film at 11 here. Here in California, the recession is supposed to have gotten better, but not the outlook for those of us looking for work. I have the possibility of teaching sewing IF I can raise enough money to buy a couple of used sewing machines.

After 3 years of job hunting [2004 – 2007], I finally got a job with the County. Less than 2 months into my training probabtion period I had a stroke during business hours that required me to be hospitalized for several days. My supervisor recommended that I be terminated for this, and her supervisor agreed without even seeing whether I had any loss of function. [I did lose a little -but how many people can do calculus, any how? Its not like doing Eligibility determinations requires anything more complicated than an ability to total and compare numbers!]

It has been 34 months since I worked. I have sold most of my valuables trying to pay the rent on our apartment. I only have my boxes of quilting fabric and my old Singer sewing machine [still works, but needs a tune-up]. I need to turn my fabric stash into things that I can sell, especially with the Christmas season [ka-ching for crafters!] approaching, so I can pay the back rent [I am 3 months behind, with a most patient and empathetic landlord] and may even afford a little holiday spirit…although the sheer relief of having turned my stash into cash would be huge! My poor little Singer isn’t up to the marathon hours of sewing I need to put in and, as I said, she really needs a little vacation at the repair shop when I can afford the $60. I have seen how fast a serger can go compared to my old sewing machine’s top speed and the possibilities just boggle my mind!

  7. Jill says:

This serger would contribute greatly toward my sanity, not to mention ease in making clohtes for my three daughters. Ever since deciding to take time off from my career to stay at home with my girls, sewing/creating has become something of a necessity for me. It’s the one thing that I do that I can see tangibly as an accomplishment. Everything else (the dishes, the laundry, a “clean” room) quickly comes undone. When I sew, I feel like I can see my success :). And sewing knits with a quality serger would be so awesome!

  8. Abi I. says:

I have two little ones and a binder FULL of sewing projects that I have come across and clipped out of magazines, printed of the internet or taken pictures of in stores. But I have no sewing machine. 🙁 So my children will grow up with childhoods devoid of homemade toys, clothes and other stuff. For my children, for the future, I need a sewing machine. Thank you for this opportunity to share.

  9. Frauke Hahne says:

Ohhhh, I really would like to win this machine!!!!

4 month for Christmas it was the best gift ever!

  10. LouAnn says:

What a wonderful gift! Thanks for the chance to win!

  11. Lauren says:

I would live to win this. I’m an attorney who’s just now realizing how fulfilling it is to use my hands and creativity to make things and would love to use this machine to explore this hobby.

  12. Elna Benbow says:

I would love to win this serger, because I’m planning on sewing items for Haitian children…. I need to start a blog so you can see why I need to sew for others. A serger would make the task so much quicker. Stay tune and I will post my blog name and info.

  13. Taryn says:

I am reposting this because I didn’t see it the first time:

  14. Aimee says:

In the past two years I have begun sewing. I love it! I am interested in getting a Serger to take my sewing to the next level. I would love to be able to do embroidery with all the babies that my friends are busy having, and hopefully one for a future baby or two of mine!

  15. Cristy says:

I would LOVE to win this! I sew all the time and have a serger myself but my Moms serger is all but dead. She HATES sewing with the thing because it never works right and even the sewing machine repair place has been able to do nothing. It is a REALLY cheep machine. My sisters sew a lot too and always want to borrow my serger. We live too far apart to just share my serger so I would give this to them if I won it! That would be TERRIFIC! Thanks for the chance to win! My Mom and sisters would be THRILLED if I showed up with this for them!

  16. Danna Reynolds says:

I would love to win this serger for my mom. She bought me a great serger many years ago for Christmas. She is still using her old serger which does not work half the time. I would love to bless her with a brand new serger and thank her for giving me the passion for sewing. She is a great woman and truly deserves a new machine.

  17. Cathi says:

What a fantastic prize! I have been sewing forever and would love a new machine to expand my fun!!

  18. i am entering for my mom and for me. she is a professional seamstress although she does not know it(she’s been sewing for others for over 40 years!) yet she has NEVER owned a serger. she is a basic kind of woman, and likes her basic little machines, but i know that she could do some awesome work with a serger. but with a small sewing room and customers’ clothes all over, where would she store such a thing when not in use? that’s where i come in! i am sure i could find some space somewhere for it in my craft nest…and serge away!

  19. Erin Marie says:

As I’ve discovered since having my second child, I NEED the creative time to stay sane, usually some sort of sewing. But I need to extend my sewing abilities beyond the capabilities of my beginning sewing machine.

  20. Ole Jacob says:

I’m really new to this business of sewing clothes.
Two weeks ago I got the urge to try to make a shirt on my own.
So I traced the outline of one of my favourite shirts, looked carefully to figure out the sequence of seams, Thought, wondered, speculated, calculated – and loopked around the house till I found a cotton bed sheet.
Yes! It worked. A week later: My all by myself-shirt was in the tumbler after dying blue. Feeling pretty proud, I must say.
Today I have dismantled an old pair of trousers to make it into a pattern. Hopefully the result will emerge in some days.
I’m aiming to go for a full suit, and this machine would certainly come in handy.
Hope to be noticed among all you females in here 🙂

  21. Premier says:

What a generous gift. This serger costs over $1100!

  22. Nicole says:

I have a husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a cockatail. I work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Everything I do every day is for my family. I have a basic sewing machine that my grandma gave me almost 10 years ago and it’s my escape. I would love to have a serger just for me.

  23. Nicole says:

I really took this to heart…here is my compelling argument!

  24. sandrinha says:

I just move from Hawaii to Alaska two months ago, and I am wondering about the winter time here. I wish to do a lot of craft for all my family, so I’ll do not have time to look outside kkkkk

  25. I NEED to win this serger!!! My husband and I are both out of work, I have started a crafting business and this would be a dream come true!! I have two little boys to sew for and 19 nieces and nephews (yes 19! and I am only 36 by the way!) plus a great nephew!!! This baby would be used daily!!!! I make baby items and a serger would make my baby cocoons and dresses and blankets and carseat blankets so much better and sooooooooooooo much easier to make! I have my fingers, toes, kids fingers and toes crossed too! I even made the dog and cat cross their paws wishing I would win!! LOL But really this would help us so much and at least make there seem like a light at the end of the tunnel. i do need one and I wish and pray I win. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win, this is very generous of you!! Much love and best wishes to all who enter.

  26. Sidney's Mom says:

I would love to have a serger and the animal letters are adorable!

  27. mandyhannan says:

Wow…where to begin? If I had a machine like this, I could start a homebased business and stay home one extra day per week, at least, with my kids. I presently work full time night shift 5pm-5am as an ER nurse in a very busy ER. I have to work nights because the differential makes the car payment! My husband has said that one day I’d be able to open up my own boutique as I make alot of things and have alot of resources…except money and time 🙂 THis would be an amazing step towards that goal of mine – and maybe a little extra time home with my family (where I’m not sleeping all day while they are doing things)!!! THanks for the wonderful opportunity. The winner will be very blessed.

  31. Kathie says:

I’m not sure but there can’t be any chance of someone winning this is there??? Well if the answer is yes, please put my name in the hat or the drum or whatever large container all the names would have to fit in to. Please………..and of course thanks for the chance :))))))))YIPPEE

  32. Marnie Peck says:

I love to sew and create. I look forward to “my” time every night. I have 4 wonderful, spirited, children. I would really love to take my craft to the next level, yet the only thing truly holding me back is that I don’t have a decent machine and I don’t have a serger. I am using the sewing machine that I asked for and got for my high school graduation, which was 25 years ago this year. I have a wonderful husband who would support me if I even asked for a serger. Each time I go to the fabric store, I dream of owning one. Yet my husband has no idea what it is and doesn’t have a clue I have been secretly wanting one for soooo many years. You see each time I put away little piles of “my” money to buy one, I end up using it for braces, camp that “everyone else” is going to, Christmas gifts, etc. There always seems to be a need greater than my own, cough cough, my children. I can then never justify spending the money on a machine that is for my hobby. SO then I go back to dreaming that one day…I will be able to start my own little business on the web and that this talented world of crafters will be following my blog and I too, will be able to make a difference in somebody else’s life! So that is my reason for wanting this cool serger. Thanks for the opportunity and I love reading your blog!! It is one of the first ones I go to in the am when I am waking up with my diet coke!

  33. Clara says:

The serger will allow me to serge MY LIVE! I’m so inspired to re-fashion my and my daughter’s wardrobe by your site! I already sewed a lot for my daughter, but the serger will help me to make it more professionally looking and easier -faster – to sew!!! Pick me!!

  34. Karen says:

I take full time care of an aunt who has alzheimers and parkinsons. I moved over 3000 miles to do so. I’m glad I’m able to provide help to her in order that she may maintain a sense of independence as an elderly individual. I have been doing this for over 2 years now and one of the things that keeps me from going a little “crazy” is my sewing and knitting. I haven’t had a serger but from what I’ve seen in ready to wear it really adds to one’s ability to put together creative garments particularly knits. My aunt was a very creative sewer and crafter and I believe my current interest adds a special spark to her life during this difficult period.

  35. Joyce says:

I need this serger. I have a large family with 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Sewing clothing and toys, a must. It would be such a help to me. I would also like to start a Etsy shop to sell my home crafted dolls, doll clothing and various bags. Hope I win. It would make my life easier and hopefully a little more profitable.

  36. Sarah Barnette says:

I know nothing about sergers, I just started sewing after a 25 year break and I am loving it again. I would love to try a serger, it would take my sewing to a whole new level.

  37. Andrea Ryan says:

Please enter me in the contest…it would be wonderful to win!!

  38. Nicole says:

I’m SEW ready for this to change my concept of sewing, crafting, and gift giving. I think I’ve been clinging to my very basic “starter” machine because it feels comfortable and familiar. BRING ON something I have to go ALL IN for! If I have no idea what I’m doing…well, I’ll have to rely on all the amazing blogs/bloggers out there 🙂

  39. RP says:

Would love to win the serger! (the animals are adorable, too)

The serger would expand my sewing hobby, allow me to make clothes for me & the kids Aaaaand, get that whole etsy shop plan going!

  40. Amy says:

I would love to win a serger! I’ve finally discovered that–contrary to what I always thought!–I really can sew! Very simply, but it’s a start! With 4 daughters–two in college–a serger would be a fabulous help!

  41. Sue says:

Please enter me, I”d love to win one!

  42. Janet says:

My life, for the last 10 years, has been working in a science lab, stifling my creativity. Now I’ve found sewing and embroidery, and the creativity just wants to bubble out. And there is a machine that can take me to the next level and adorable embroidery patters to play with. That would be pure heaven. Pick me and sign me up! Please!

  43. Dee says:

Love the cute little animal embroidery patterns and would be ecstatic to win the serger!!!! O. M. G. ! ! !
