Not sure how long the comments are open, but I would love to win a copy of Lunch Bags! I am a traveling clinician and often I am visiting a clinic without a refrigerator. Since I am an avid sack-lunch packer, I’d love to make myself a cute lunch bag to bring to work. Thanks for the giveaway!
My little secret: I want to make a lunch bag for MYSELF!
Love those tutorial can’t wait to win (or buy…) the book!
I’ve been wanting this book for awhile now. I love the lunch bag on the front cover. It sure would make it easier to take my lunch to work, if I had my own personlized lunch bag!
This book would be great to have! Personalised lunch bags – how gorgeous!
Oh these are all great! I’d love to have that book, it would sure beat having to lug my ugly lunch sack to school!
Oh, I just love these. I have been fumbling around trying to make some for my teenage boys and they just weren’t quite right. Thanks to this, they are going to be golden!
Looks like a great book to add to my sewing/crafty library!
Looks like a fun book, I can’t wait to take a look at some of these!
What fun projects! These look great.
This is something I need. I work at a school in the resource room. I take a lunch and a snack bag to share every day. Our students often need that snack to get through the day. I have been doing this for 24 years and am going back for another. I was told when hired the average lifespan of a resource aide is 5 years. I guess I’m not average and neither are the students we work with. I love my job and am pleased to say my students love me too
Anyway a new lunch or snack bag is in order at the beginning of each school year. Thank you again :0
WOW!!! That was exactly what I was about to create myself — without a pattern!!! A pattern and tutorial is DEFINATELY helpful. I have some friends that always carry their lunch in plastic ‘wal-mart’ bags and I wanted to give them something a little more personal and something they could be proud to carry. Thanks so much for the tips!!!
oooh that book looks fantastic! I’ve been looking for a good lunch bag pattern!
Such a fun way to be environmentally friendly. A pretty lunch or snack bag beats an ugly old paper bag any day!
What a fun idea! We just have bags from Whole Foods, but I’d love something more personalized.
I had no idea lunchbags could be so creative! thanks!

What began as trick or treat bags for my grandchildren became a runaway hit with the masses. Using different fabrics, my simple tote bag became lunch bags, gift bags, book bags, you name it. I use them to put my laptop wires and chargers in when traveling on a plane. They fit in my carry on but keep other things from being tangled or scratched by prongs.
I bought some iron-on vinyl to try making waterproof lunch bags. I love the look of the first pictures here. The foldover top is great!.

My husband desperately needs a new lunch pail! His is crusty and yucky, but we’ve been unable to replace it because everything in the store is either too small, too girly, or covered in kid cartoons. This would be perfect!

I want to make them all now, one for each day of the week! Maybe it will rain soon so I’m not tempted to spend time outside and sew instead!
I just made up about 10 of the reusable snack bags. I added tabs on both sides in the middle in case the velcro was too clingy for hungry fingers.

When your kids are 20 and 21 and both work on construction sites, you don’t get to make cute little lunch bags, even in “boy” fabric. You get to make fabric bags shaped like plastic grocery bags, but in camoflage fabric
. Fortunately I have other recipients for whom I can sew the pretty stuff
There are so many pretty lunch bags to choose from. Of course a girl can never have too many lunch bags
I’ve been on a big lunch bag kick lately, and love the links to the lunch bag tutorials! I’ve made the Vintage Pillowcase Lunchbag, in purple and yellow, for my 8-year-old. I’ve made the Lunchbag Based on a Grocery Sack from the first link collection, as well as several of the Easy Lunchbags from Cotton & Cloud’s website. I give them as gifts and have donated them for fundraiser auctions – they are always a hit. I like making matching fabric napkins and cutlery rolls to go with each set. I add a layer of InsulBrite batting to increase the cold retension.
Thanks for the round up! I need to get some of these made!!
that pillowcase bag is to die for . . . going to see what I have in my stash right now!

I love the look of all these alternatives to the plain brown bag and plastic disposable bags.
My husband has been using the SAME plastic Barnes and Noble sack for 10 months. It has a small hole so we are careful to wrap his silverware in the napkin before placing it in the bag. He just got a new job and I am determined to make him a manly lunch bag to carry each day. This will fit the bill. I’ll pick a masculine fabric and go for it!
