Oh! How to narrow it down to one! My current fave is Anna Maria Horner’s Good Folks.

  2. kathyh says:

My favorite collection of fabric involves airplanes. I have enough to make an airplane quilt but not enough time yet. My other collection is Japanese fabrics – mostly sold to tourists and brought back to the states. I find any and all of these at garage sales, and fabric stores in faraway places. I even know all of the fabric stores on Maui for when we go there on vacation. What did I do in Ireland while visiting? Go to a sewing and knitting show and check out fabric stores. I don’t have one collection or one designer – I’m more of a theme gal.

  3. Connie says:

Very very favorite of all time: Amy Butler’s Gypsy Caravan. Love it to pieces.

  9. Caroline says:

  10. Jennifer W. says:

My all time favourite has to be the first real ‘collection’ that I ever knew… before that I thought that fabric was just, well, fabric. I had no idea. The collection Amy Butler Belle. Wow.

I love Heather Ross’s line with the VW vans and banana seat bikes – what was that called? I hope it gets re-released some time. I also love Lush, the paint-by-numbers deer line, but I only found out about long after it was out of print … sad!

i am very new to designer fabrics. i still don’t recognize them when i see them. even if i did, i’d buy fabrics based on the way they looked and not on what line they were in. i like simple prints, whether they are modern or retro, and then i like prints that make me feel like playing pretend :) like fabrics with animals or child-like images. i do like lines i’ve seen with castles and fairy tale images, but i could not tell you who designs them!

Sewing for the kids is a whole new thing!

  34. Nancy B from Many LA says:

This is hard. Really really hard.
I think my favorite was Sunshine by April Cornell. It didn’t catch my eye at first, because I’m generally not enraptured by yellows and blues, but I bought it to make my mom a quilt – those were her favorite colors. Once I bought the line, and made the quilt, I really fell in love with it.

  360. Carrie says:

I LOVE Kansas Troubles “Kansas Winter”. Just something about the simple subtle winter/Christmas elements in that design collection make me giggle.

  361. bess says:

i am in LOVE with cosmo cricket’s girl friday line!

  362. Mary Claire says:

I like Flea Market Fancy a lot, but I think Anna Maria’s Good Folks would win out if they had to go head to head. ;)

  363. Anna Maria Horner all the way! I’m inspired by EVERYTHING she designs. Her Drawing Room collection is one I would LOVE to own, but it’s getting harder to find. But the Little Folks collection is always a favorite!

  386. Jean says:

Wow! Tough question. I like many of the Amy Butler fabrics, and I think her Love collection was really wonderful. Another one of my favorites though is Heather Bailey’s Pop Garden and Nicey Jane (love, love, love). I also couldn’t get enough of Laura Gunn’s Poppy’s for Michael Miller.

What a tough question, there are so many collections that I love! I think my most favorite fabrics have come from the either MM’s Meadowsweet or Amy Butler’s Midwest Modern. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway, as always!

  404. I love all Amy Butler’s fabric.

  405. domestic says:

Heather Ross’ Mendocino. It was the first “modern” fabric that made me say, ‘oh my, they ARE getting better with fabric design aren’t they?’ Unfortunately, the negative side of fabric is that once it’s discontinued, it’s gone forever! If they won’t have another round of printing of that fabric, what will they reprint!? I came too late to Mendocino, I couldn’t get any of the blue or pink mermaids or seahorses. I also came to late for Flea Market Fancy. Hopefully in the future, Spoonflower or some such company will get licenses to reprint the stuff at request.

  406. Stacey says:

Amanda fleur in all colors- super versatile. love love love poodle– could use that geometric squares/diamonds print on everything. loopy floral from not sure which line as well as the birds fabric she did. Anything Jennifer is my fave!

  436. Zrinka says:

I really don’t have a favorite and I actually rarely buy a whole collection.
