Introducing ~ Lisa

We’ve been fans of Lisa’s sewing for years, and we especially love her bags. Lisa is up next with her review of Amy Butler’s Style Stitches: 12 Easy Ways to 26 Wonderful Bags. Check out Lisa’s Pink Lemonade Boutique blog and her introduction below, then come back for Lisa’s review.

From Lisa: I think I make things just to justify my fabric addiction! Just when I’ve talked myself into believing that I have quite enough fabric, some fabulously talented designer comes out with a new line and reason flies out the window. So it’s a good thing I have an endless list of things I want to sew, and handbags are probably my favorite thing of all. I sew them all in my home studio where I run my etsy shop pinklemonadeboutique.

My husband Jeff and my 9 yr. old daughter Olivia are very patient when my house more often than not is covered in bits of fabric and thread, not to mention the mounds of of laundry that never seems to shrink. I try to make up for it by making dinners that they love, as cooking is another passion of mine. Something I’d really love to do in the near future is to sell my patterns in my shop, or even write a book. In the meantime, I’m thrilled to have beautiful books like Amy Butler’s to be inspired by.

Welcome! And the words “fabric addiction” certainly ring true with me…I’m in the middle of a destash, and it’s killing me!

Boy I can so relate to Lisa’s addition to fabrics as so many of us can. Just not enough time in the day to do all that we want to do like cooking, painting, sewing, etc. But that is a good thang 😉
