    I can’t wait to get the purse and wallet done as the purse is a black herringbone suit material on the outside to be all professional looking and the lining is going to be sparkly-glittery skulls and cross bones sporting eyelashes and pink bows!

  174. I’m trying to make a cape for my dog. Rusty is a bigger minature dachshund. I’ve tried buying sweaters and jackets for him, but he can’t walk in them. His legs are too short. I found a pattern online (Martha Stewart actually) I’ve made a jacket, but it’s too big around the collar and too small around his chest. It’s back to the drawing board to make adjustments. We’ll be in great shape when I get his “custom-made” pattern just right.

My husband was going to slice up antlers (bleach half and dye the others in coffee) for the checkers, but the antlers are harder than we thought and seems to be burning out the bandsaw motor.     I need to be sewing my son’t quilt…but I don’t see having time for that in the next couple days! I did finish up 3 pairs of dress-up chaps for my boys, though, and two super hero capes for their cousins. πŸ™‚

    This week I’ll probably try and make up for being the only one not in a costume made by myself for a ‘dress-up-as-a-tune’ family music session. Thank goodness the session was postponed until next month because of ridiculous amounts of snow. Perhaps rework my Quadrato tunic into a stylish empire style fairy dress. Perhaps….
