From Beth: Today we’re happy to welcome Jenny from the WildCards to the blog, author of ReSew: Turn Thrift-Store Finds into Fabulous Designs. Jenny shares a project from the book next, but first you can enjoy her introduction and explore the links!
From Jenny: Hi, I’m Jenny. And I love to sew! I’ve been sewing since high school. Back then I would make wacky, eccentric clothes, and then make my friends wear them to school. I also love thrifting. My first thrift-store purchase was a couch in college—which I later figured out would not fit through the front door of my apartment. Rats. (I’ve gotten much better at thrifting since then.) I put my two passions together to come up with my new book, ReSew: Turn Thrift-Store Finds into Fabulous Designs. You can view a fun little video about the book here.
What’s most important in my life is being a mom. I’m sharing my “Elephant Cuddle Cushion” project from ReSew today, which was inspired by my two wonderfully crazy and funny little boys, Jack (6) and Charlie (2). I write about their antics at my blog, the WildCards. A favorite category is Jackspeak, where I’ve cataloged some of the hilarious things Jack has said over the years. And now that Charlie is two years old, Charlietalk is gaining steam. I sure hope you enjoy the project!
Thank you so much to Kristin and Beth at Sew,Mama,Sew! for letting me show my stuff to your readers. Your site is a daily inspiration to me and I am grateful for all of the thought and creativity you put into it.
Now everyone go have a great day today, and remember— Make time to sew!
