Hi Michelle - and anyone else who'd like to know about long arm quilting.
The easiest way to find a long arm quilter is to ask around - ask at your local quilt shop, your local guild, anyone else you know locally that makes quilts. Someone will point you in the direction of at least one long armer. Chat to them and get a feel of how they are, you might not like them much or like what they do. It's worth shopping round to find someone you click with. Ask to see examples of their work, ask about pricing and hidden extras (thread/bobbins/pinning to machine etc etc), and go with your gut. If you don't feel 100% sure then don't use them!
If you can't find anyone locally then try online. You can mail your quilt to be quilted and back again. Just a couple of examples to pop into google are Angela Walters (she quilts for Tula Pink and is unbelievably talented), the back porch quilters (they have a great reputation) and, finally, someone I have used personally (and mailed from the UK to the US!!!) is the sometimes crafter.

I hope that helps!
