Introducing ~ Melissa

on June 6 | in Contributors | by | with 21 Comments

Melissa truly loves to quilt, and she regularly shares that love at Happy Quilting. Even in the midst of a cross-country move (with four children and one on the way!) Melissa took time to share her love of quilting in our Summer Sewing series today. She’s up next with a really fun Game Time Picnic Quilt, but first be sure to click over to Happy Quilting (Check out some of her other quilting tutorials!).

From Melissa: Hello, my name is Melissa Corry and I am so excited to be presenting this tutorial for Sew,Mama,Sew! I love quilting and to get to share my love for it here is a great honor. If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to contact me at happyquiltingmelissa (at) gmail (dot) com. Also, you can always find me over at my stomping grounds Happy Quilting anytime. There is always something fun going on over there. (In fact, there happens to be a giveaway for a fat quarter bundle going on now). I am a stay at home mom with four kiddos and one on the way. I am about to celebrate my one year blog anniversary in July and I can’t believe how fast it has grown… I love quilting!

How in the world does she find time to do all of this? I barely have enough energy to work full-time and quilt semi part-time. The Picnic Quilt is adorable. A-DOR-A-BULL!!

  5. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

As an avid blog reader, could I request one tiny thing? Please set your RSS feed to display the whole post? you won’t lose anyone as a reader, and I’m more likely to click on your blog link and visit the blog if I can see the whole thing – b/c I can see all the photos and links and goodies. When I see a clip of the blog in the RSS feeder, more than likely I will just scroll on through. I don’t know why, but that at least is the psychology going on in this blog reader’s head. Thanks for the beautiful blog. -Jill
