When I look at it I am reminded of art class in 7th grade where we learned to draw using cross hatch. I enjoyed the challenge of that the straight line presented when you wanted to create fullness and shadow, curvature or light. When I started thinking about how that applied to sewing- how you take all these straight lines and use them, according to their own set of rules, to create fullness and curvature and play with shadow and light.
