  15. Alison H. says:

There are so many beautiful new fabrics, but “Sparrows And Blossom Jaipur ~ Misaki” is the one that inspired me immediately the moment I saw it. I used to hate the color yellow, but recently I’ve discovered its uplifting qualities — how, when I’m depressed (which is a lot lately due to health issues), just looking at a beautiful yellow shade instantly makes my outlook a little brighter. Life feels a little less hopeless, and I feel a happier and more capable of going on with my day. I never really identified with that “yellow = sunny color = sunny mood” thing before, but wow, it feels so strong now. I’ve been hoping to find a good yellow-based print to use for shirts, purses or bags, and other little projects around my house. I’d like to have something bright and yellow in every room so that no matter where I am when I start to feel down, I can look at it and get an emotional boost. This fabric — with the pinks and light blues (my tried and true favorite colors) and the adorable bird/flower pattern — would be perfect.

Sorry to leave such a long comment (I know it makes me sound like I’m begging to win), but I really just wanted to share how good that fabric makes me feel! I’ve been having a frustrating day, but now I can log off from my computer with a smile on my face. Thanks for that. :)

  510. Michelle says:

While browsing the new fabrics today I was immediately struck by the new London Turquoise print. Why does it inspire me? I was able to spend a wonderful few days in London while in college – a centerpiece between the bookend stops of NYC and Paris. I have such wonderful memories of that lovely city and to see all the sights on my favorite medium – fabric – brought a smile to my face! I also love to find items with a twist. London is so deeply rooted in history and traditions, but here we have a vivid, bright, and graphic print. It’s a total contradiction to London as a whole, but at the same time captures the hustle and bustle beautifully! I see myself using this fabric for all sorts of projects – a wonderful tote bag or purse, or even better – pillows for a sitting room where all the treasures from my travels are proudly displayed!

  511. Robin Baker says:

I like the Gone Fishing fabric and its not even because I like fishing all that much. But I used to go fishing with my uncle when I was a little girl which really meant he’d wake me up early in the morning, load up the truck, and we’d drive to some river or lake… Then I’d spend the morning snoozing in the boat, one hand trailing in the water, and my face warmed by the sun as he fished. Of course, we never saw whales on our fishing trips but that’s okay, because sometimes we saw fish I would’ve sworn were as big as whales. Oh to have the imagination of a six year old again. :D Lovely line of new fabrics though. It was hard to choose.

  512. Malia Blossom says:

The west indies prints are absolutely beautiful and inspiring to me. They remind me of prints used in many Hawaiian quilts. Being from Hawaii, it makes me reminiscent, and I am inspired to create things that remind me of home and the feeling and smell of the island air.

  513. Tina says:

wow – these colors are so AWESOME!

I think I would like to combine some of theme to make, oh I don’t know the english word…. Bedclothes? out of it. You know, we Germans don’t have Sheets and others Sheets, we have a shet on the mattress and then we have a duvet which is coverd with a Bedcloth, and that’s it…

But, first of all, I want to make a baby-toddler *sneeze* dress out of the “On parade multi” (Children at Play) for my Baby-daughters first birthday. Can’t believe my little baby will be already one in October…

    Greetings,
    Tina
