These giveaways are now closed. Thanks!

As we’ve told you before, we’ve been working like crazy on November’s 5th Annual Handmade Holidays series (here’s last year’s master list). The tutorials, recipes, printables, giveaways help you create a special handmade holiday for family and friends. By mid-November each year there are lots of us who wish we’d started to sew a bit earlier though, so this year we’re starting our efforts in October! We’re hosting three fabulous sew-alongs to help get you ready for the holiday season. Monica Solorio-Snow from Happy Zombie, Elizabeth Hartman from Oh, Fransson! and Linda Feldmen from Craft Apple will lead our sew-alongs all month long. Every day we’ll also share some holiday decoration inspiration, including tutorial links so you can jump into making a few smaller items even if you don’t have time for the bigger decor projects. Of course we have lots of giveaways as well as our usual assortment of informative sewing posts sprinkled throughout the month that you won’t want to miss!

  • Elizabeth joins us on Mondays with a sew-along for gorgeous holiday placemats and napkins, perfect for Thanksgiving through the December holidays.
  • Linda helps you start a fun Advent Calendar with her sew-along every Wednesday. You’ll have enough time to finish it!
  • Monica will be here Fridays with a beautiful Tree Skirt sew-along.

We have a Flickr group for each sew-along, so you can show the progress you’re making. Elizabeth, Linda and Monica will also be monitoring the discussion boards and comments so you have guidance throughout.

Join us throughout October for our Holiday Sew-Alongs! Grab our button and help us spread the word: and here is the link url:

Won’t it feel nice to get a head start on your Handmade Holiday season?! Come back tomorrow for Β more details about each of the projects.
