We’re way overdue for one of Melanie’s gorgeous collections of recent sewing trends! When she isn’t stopping in here, you can always find Melanie on her fun blog, A Sewing Journal, and find her on Twitter and Facebook. Enjoy today’s dose of holiday color from Melanie! What are you sewing for the holidays?

In this special holiday version of my Sewing Trends post, I thought we’d look at the colors of Christmas. Here are some newer colors, and some long-time favorites, the handmade community has embraced this season.

Grey has quickly become a favorite color in year-round sewing and we’re seeing it pop up in holiday sewing as well.
