    Three years ago I started to sew again… small pouches, a bag, a purse, I spent two years improving my skill, and began to do some patchwork as well. Then last year I meant to learn how to quilt… I was really in the mood for it, but I couldn´t find the time between my love for knitting, my passion for sudoku, my friends’ and children requests for sewing purses, as a gift for everyone on their friends’ lists, my quilts-to-be were sadly put aside…
    But this year, this year I will quilt!

    They’re beautiful. Particularly like the fabric with the birds. This year I want to get much better at finishing – I love the process of making but tend to switch off a bit at the end. Must get better!

  76. I bought my first sewing machine almost exactly a year ago. I’ve been using it lots but only a straight stitch. I want to finally get around to reading the instructions fully and try out the other stitches, especially the buttonhole stitch… could use it on some patchwork cushions made with your irresistable fabrics!

    I’m always looking for ways to improve my sewing skills, and set a couple of goals for the year:

    1. Learn to make a rag rug. (I’m actually in the process right now, and it’s proving to be a great way to destash)

    2. In the process of doing 1, I guess I’m also learning to crochet. Heh.

    3. Get better and more adventurous at patchwork piecing. On my to-do list are string blocks, mosaic blocks, and Chinese coins (I think this is what they’re called?).
