Thanks for a fun project! I just made 2! I reused some mesh from a broken laundry bag! Now I just need to find the laundry cording!

Such a wonderful idea and economical too.To make it better just embellish using colourful beads,buttons or sew embroideries

Great idea to avoid plastic produce bags. You could reuse the mesh from store bought produce bags, and some recycled clothing/tablecloth/whatever to make it all free. Maybe add a loop for hanging to give potatoes and onions a little more air circulation.
