(Switching hats here today!– I’m the long-time editor here at Sew,Mama,Sew!, here as Camp Director with a little reminder for July about our family’s truly awesome online Summer Camp Adventure Club…)

Our kindergarten year ended today here at Summer Camp Adventure Club Headquarters. This evening we were at a little neighborhood ice cream celebration, kicking off a summer of fun. While the kids climbed trees and ran around with the profound joy of summer, sugar and friends, the parents talked… How will we find a balance between enough of a “schedule” to keep us all grounded with enough freedom to experience the true gifts of summer vacation? How can we keep the kids happy, busy, engaged… How can we truly banish the phrase, “I’m bored?”

I have an answer: Summer Camp Adventure Club!

Summer Camp Adventure Club is a subscription-based, online “camp” (an eCourse/online class) where Pre-K through 3-4 grade campers get fun, new ideas every day throughout the summer. There’s a new theme every week in June, July and August, all designed by an educator (and mama) with a Master in Teaching degree. Each weekly theme includes tons of inspiring projects, activities, journal prompts, downloads, recipes and more. Kids get the inspiration and guidance they need to work more independently to create projects they love. Adults have access to countless quality resources with one click.

Here are examples from two June themes– Stories + Storytelling, Growing + The Outdoors:

In the site kids can click on each image for a link to the project, complete with a materials list, photos, step-by-step instructions, a note about how much adult help is useful for the activity and ideas for “More Fun.” There is no advertising, and there are no outside links which makes it super-kid friendly.

Your July subscription gives you access to all of June’s activities too, plus our On-The-Go section for travel ideas, daily book reviews and daily journal drawing/writing prompts. Sign up today, and comment for a chance to win one of two subscriptions for a free month.

What are people saying about Summer Camp Adventure Club?:

Georgia from Georgia Leigh:

I can’t tell you how thorough and exciting the activities are. My favorite part is the daily book review. Each day has a new book that goes along with the week’s theme. It’s like a super-fun unit study. AND (and I will repeat) I don’t have to do any of the planning myself… There are even snack suggestions. So cool… The price is amazingly reasonable considering all your kids get to go to ‘camp’ for the same price.

Rae from Made by Rae:

Sure we run around a lot in the summer, but there are plenty of days where I don’t have the energy to do anything and we putter around the house. I’m looking forward to having a bundle of awesome easy activities at my fingertips to keep the kids busy and happy.

Meg from Elsie Marley:

I could be my normal cheapskate self and do it all myself… But with three little kids running and screaming around the house day in and day out, I don’t always have the brain power to think up, organize, and get a project going for the kids. Summer Camp Adventure Club to the rescue!
