Hi! I’m Ronit (pronounced ro-neat), and I blog about quilting and (occasional) vegetarian cooking adventures at Two Hippos. I’m a graduate student in history at the University of Michigan, and while dissertation research and writing takes up most of my time, sewing fills up my “spare” time. As I regularly tell my friends, quilting keeps me sane– It’s handy to have a hobby that allows for quick accomplishments in the midst of a very-long, hard-to-see-the-end-point writing project. Like writing, sewing can sometimes be a solitary pursuit, but the Ann Arbor Modern Quilt Guild has provided lots of local fun and fabulous companionship.
