The Family Crafting Month fun continues with another great project from Made to Play!: Handmade Toys and Crafts for Growing Imaginations by artist and author Joel Henriques.

We love Made to Play! just as much as we love his Made by Joel blog. (The blog was just named one of Babble’s Top 50 Dad Blogs of 2012.) Joel understands how kids play; he consistently shares a wonderful variety of simple, effective projects to support imagination and creativity. We think Made to Play!: Handmade Toys and Crafts for Growing Imaginations is an important resource for anyone who loves to play.

We shared instructions for Modular Headbands from the book last week and today Joel is back with instructions for the Discoverer’s Utility Belt. Download your Discoverer’s Utility Belt PDF instructions today!

Don’t forget: You can also still comment on our earlier Made to Play! post for a chance to win one of TWO copies of Made to Play!: Handmade Toys and Crafts for Growing Imaginations. Enjoy!

Cute idea. I know that both my children would love one of these.
The animal can project is perfect for the 4 & 5 yr olds in my SS class! They love to work on projects while I tell stories. Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful ideas! It brings out the ‘kid’ in us all!
thank you – this is a cute belt
