Jane from Buzzmills added fabric scraps to store-bought napkins to brighten the set.

From Jane:
We use fabric napkins here in our house. We also happen to have some messy eaters, which means that our fabric napkins occasionally need to be “retired” and some new ones need to be added. So, when I saw sets of brightly colored and inexpensive napkins on sale I snatched them up and took them home. Once I got them home I cheered their bright colors up a bit more with some scrappy polka dots!

This project is a great way to use up some of your favorite fabric scraps. The polka dot appliqued napkins can dress up your next picnic or can be the perfect hostess gift to take to your next neighborhood BBQ of family reunion! Stop by my blog to see more pictures and information.

You could also add the circles later to strategically cover up stains on old napkins.
