Why we chose this project:

  • It’s easy to make this skirt your own. From hemlines, to fabric choices, to finishes, you have a chance to show off your sewing skills as well as your fashion style.
  • We love Deborah! She is smart, funny and an excellent teacher.
  • You get to draft your own pattern based on your body.
  • Hellooooo, Zipper!
  • We wanted a challenge that uses an audio-visual format; we love the Craftsy platform.

The 10 contestants have a week to finish their skirts with photos due on the 14th. If you want to join the Community Match you can sew your skirt anytime between now and September 10th!

Do Community sewers need to do the course, or can we draft using other resources?

    • Kristin says:

For this round, you don’t have to use this exact class to make your pattern. You just need to make an a-line skirt.
