Sewing Inspiration: Negroni

Stien blogs in Dutch at Justina Maria Louisa but she answered our questions in English. Her Negroni needs little translation!– It’s fantastic. This week we’re featuring some favorite Negronis, the Round Four challenge in our Super Online Sewing Match.

Stien used Helium fabric from Petit Pan for this Negroni and writes that it’s her, “…All-time favorite fabric brand! Blue is my favorite color and brings out the blue in his eyes; Petit Pan always has the most beautiful color palette!”

We asked Stien to tell us a little more about the shirt:

“Ever since I started sewing my husband has wanted a handmade shirt (actually we are not married but we have three kids together so when I call him ‘boyfriend’ that sounds weird). He is a history teacher and a bicycle repairman too. That’s why he has a very strange wardrobe, fitted shirts for teaching and work wear for repairing. We hate ironing so he has a huge pile of fitted shirts. But store bought shirts are often so boring! There was a high need for some color in his wardrobe, and I needed a more challenging sewing project!”

Learn more about the Negroni in Stien’s post, and have fun exploring her site!
