This giveaway is now closed. Thanks!

We love kids and sewing, and when the two mix together we’re beyond thrilled! Trixi Symonds, a teacher who knows kids, has a new book full of projects for children (or for adults and kids to work on together). Sew Together Grow Together: Sewing Patterns for Parents and Children includes twenty fun projects like a darling Froggy, Gulla’allah the Koala softies and more.

Today Trixi is offering a free Twins PDF pattern from Sew Together Grow Together. You can download and sew up a set today! We’d love to see the creative embellishments kids come up with for these creatures.

You can also win a copy of Sew Together Grow Together: Sewing Patterns for Parents and Children with your comment below. (This giveaway is open to international winners.) The winner will also receive a small set of twins sewn by Trixi! Tell us who you’d sew with or for if you won a copy of Sew Together Grow Together.

Hello. I just started teaching myself how to sew as of December, 2012 and can not believe how far I’ve progressed! I have had a ton of custom orders being thrown at me left and right for things like baby stuff to halloween costumes! Well, there is this little 12 year old girl who lives across the street from me. She is so excited because I am making her a Mermaid costume this year for Halloween and she is now becoming very interested in learning how to sew herself. She is begging me to teach her how to sew so the other day I walked her through how to make a grocery bag holder (something easy) and she pretty much sewed over half of it herself on my Brother SE400 Sewing/Embroidery machine. She is a very good student and listens well. I was so impressed by her results and how well she understood how to use my machine. She is the sweetest kid and I would love to win this book so we could sit down together and learn to sew! Thank you for this wonderful offer!! Sincerely, Kelly C of Idaho. 🙂 P.S. If you would please go check out my album called “teaching myself how to sew and loving it” on my facebook page. If you want you can send me a friend request so that you can view my pictures. I would sure love some people’s advice and/or opinions of the stuff I’ve made. 🙂 Thank you:!/kelly.woodscaufield/media_set?set=a.10200240342709592.197013.1183451424&type=3
