Make a Sheep by Night! You could make an entire flock with this free paper piecing pattern from Rumi of 3patchcrafts. Today’s pattern is for this center, yellow sheep; it’s the perfect sheep to recreate in different fabrics for a “sweet dreams” quilt and more. Rumi joined us before for our with her popular Butterfly Pattern + Tutorial in our series on paper piecing.

Rumi has a Flickr group for paper piecing made with her patterns and sells patterns in her Right Patterns Shop, including the full series of sheep pictured here. Learn more about Rumi in her introduction and let us know if you make some sheep. Rumi also has a sweet Counting Sheep post on her blog to help you visualize how the full set of sheep could be made into a quilt.

So glad to see another one of Rumi’s great patterns featured here! I love her fanciful designs, and they’re so easy to sew! Here’s a pouch I made with one of her designs: Thanks for sharing her talents with your readers!
