Do you hear that noise? It’s angels singing about Cloud9’s organic voile! That’s right, Cloud9 Fabrics is getting ready to release a beautiful new collection from designer Lisa Shrewing of A Creative Mint on GOTS-certified organic cotton voile! We asked six of our readers to make blouses using this gorgeous fabric in the Palos Verdes Blouse Challenge.
Our sewists used prints from the Palos Verdes collection and a pattern of their choice. The voile is a soft, light-weight fabric with a great drape perfect for garments and more. We’ll share our challengers’ blouses this week! Would you like to be considered for future challenges? Sign up for our newsletter (select the contributor option) and you’ll learn about opportunities to try out new fabrics, patterns and more.
The talented challengers:
- Teresa Behr from Dandelion Drift
- Carolina Calero from Love Lola
- Charise Randell of Charise Creates
- Melissa Mora from Melly Sews
- Nienke de Jong-de Vries of Pienkel
- Michael Ann Shreeve from Michael Ann Made
Our first challenger is Teresa Behr from Dandelion Drift. Teresa did a little mix and match for her blouse, using part of a vintage Butterick pattern with sleeves from the Scout Tee.
We love the pintucks with the La Venta print!
