Many years ago I made myself a pair of shorts just like these in Nova Scotian tartan (a cotton fabric) and ran the Ottawa marathon in them. Unforgettable! This sadly puts me in the category of “If you are old enough to remember the trend first hand, you’re too old to revisit.”

He really does not like the long legged shorts in the stores for men and would just fall over with excitement!!!

New to sewing ~ haven’t made anything for myself yet. This looks like a fun first to try :)

  143. Mandi says:

I’ve made pj shorts for myself and for others, but that’s all. I’d LOVE to make Prefontaine shorts, not just because of all the inspiration out there with cute fabrics, but also because I’m a runner and was inspired by Steve Prefontaine’s dedication to the sport (but not his partying) when I was in high school.
