Elizabeth Dackson from Don’t Call Me Betsy, author of Becoming a Confident Quilter, recently launched her second Craftsy class, Start Foundation Paper Piecing. Just like her Start Free-Motion Quilting class, Start Paper Piecing is geared toward beginners. The class includes seven block patterns so it’s also a great class option even if you already have experience with paper piecing.
Start Foundation Paper Piecing includes important information about paper piecing like what paper to use, where to find additional blocks, how to consistently line up your fabrics correctly and more.
To celebrate her new Start Foundation Paper Piecing class and to get you excited about paper piecing Elizabeth designed this Icicle Star, a festive foundation paper pieced block with both 6” and 12” finished block templates. You can download the Icicle Star Block PDF and use the block for any size project, from table runners and pillows to quilts. Enjoy, and don’t miss Start Foundation Paper Piecing for more from Elizabeth!
