Tagalong Teddy Free Pattern

Our apologies! The PDF should include the pattern pieces, and the download should now included a full eight pages. Thanks for your patience.

Designer and author Betz White is here with a free Tagalong Teddy Pattern from her book, Present Perfect: 25 Gifts to Sew & Bestow. We thought this teddy was an essential accompaniment to the growing cast of characters in our Six Weeks of LOVE for Softies series!

Betz has been sewing since her mother taught her as a young girl. A graduate in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati, Betz left her corporate career as a children’s wear designer to stay home with her young children and to pursue a new love: creating one-of-a-kind items from second hand materials. Her bold aesthetic combined with her education in apparel design results in a unique offering of books, patterns and projects for the modern sewer. She has been featured on Martha Stewart’s television show (two times!) and her softies are world-renowned; for several years in a row her work has been shown in a Tokyo gallery at an annual softie show. She has a popular line of sewing patterns, and classes on both Craftsy.com and Creativebug.com.

Betz has written many books including Warm Fuzzies: 30 Sweet Felted Projects (the essential book for recycled felting), Sewing Green: 25 Projects Made with Repurposed & Organic Materials Plus Tips & Resources for Earth-Friendly Stitching and her latest title, Present Perfect: 25 Gifts to Sew & Bestow. We shared an excerpt from Present Perfect last fall; the Make & Bake Apron is a free PDF for you to download and sew, perfect for gifting or to freshen up your own kitchen. (That’s the apron there on the book cover!)

The new Tagalong Teddy Pattern is a soft and cuddly addition to any child’s collection of friends. From the book: “With big ears for listening, soft paws to hold on to, and a sweet smiling face, this bear is sure to be a favorite companion for any little one. Based on simple, ragdoll-style construction, Tagalong Teddy is a great beginner-level stuffed animal.” He even features a removable vest!

Have fun with this little fellow, and take a look at our Present Perfect post for more on the book and a book trailer. Download your free Tagalong Teddy Pattern!

Thank you for the sweet pattern!. Although, I just want to point out that the instructions don’t say anywhere if the seams allowance are in the pattern or I should add them….. Unfortunately, I just finished one bear and seems that I should have added them, instead of cut the pieces just as it says……

So sorry! We had a little hiccup there. The pattern is all fixed and is combined with the instructions now in one handy document. Thanks for your patience.
