Here’s our final challenger in the Spoonflower Kitchen Challenge! Each sewist selected two Spoonflower fabrics, all with a kitchen theme.

We had Mary’s Sandwich Wrappers, Alicia’s Kitchen Organizer, Daisy’s Mixer Cover, Trina’s Apron and Sherri’s Bento Lunch Bag, and now we have Michelle from Falafel and the Bee.

Michelle went with a cookies and milk theme, creating two different types of oven mitts. They each include a liner and Insul-Bright so they’re heat resistant, and perfect for the next batch! Michelle writes, “Something about the combination of the cookies and milk theme, and that retro fabric makes me think of a classic vintage housewife a la Lucille Ball.”

Michelle always has something fun up her sleeve at Falafel and the Bee. She was the recent Grand Prize Winner in our Spectacular Softies Contest and we can’t wait to see all of the things she stitches on her new machine (The Contessa!). Learn more about Michelle on her site and be sure to stick around for tutorials, lots of sewing and more.

We really enjoyed seeing each of our challengers’ unique fabric selections and kitchen-y designs. Thank you to Spoonflower for sponsoring an exciting challenge, and thanks again to our talented group of sewists:
