Kirstyn Cogan’s love of design evolved into a passion for surface design and product development. Her work has appeared on greeting cards and stationery, picture frames and photo albums, animated websites and lots of clothing for companies both large and small. It was her work designing embroidery, appliqué and screen prints within the garment industry that morphed into designing stitch patterns and fabric for the quilting market.

Kirstyn’s Scandinavian roots surfaced in her most recent works as author of Urban Scandinavian Sewing (Stash Books), and an extensive fabric collection for P&B Textiles, Urban Scandinavian Basics (and the B + W mix!). The Urban Scandinavian fabric collection consists of six easy to use designs and comes in 75 color ways! Kirstyn’s studio is in Seattle where she lives with her keyboard-playing husband Wes, just a short distance from the shores of Puget Sound.

Find more from Kirstyn on her website, and Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. Be sure to check out all of the Urban Scandinavian Basics and the B + W prints too; check here later for a chance to WIN some of the fabric, plus Kirstyn’s Urban Scandinavian Sewing book, in an upcoming giveaway.
