Sewing is something that has always fascinated me. For me, the whir of the machine brings back the days when I used to watch my grandmother sew and knit for the entire extended family. Now that she has passed away, sweaters and scarves knit by her and pillowcases and bags sewn and embroidered by her are all we have to remember her by.

Recently I decided to revive the tradition of sewing (it sadly disappeared with my grandmother) in my family and bought a machine. I am now following online blogs and tutorials to find my feet and your blog has been a great source of inspiration. This clutch will be my first ambitious bag project and hopefully will lead to many more. Thank you so much for all the patterns, tips and techniques. Makes a girl feel spoilt for choice, you know what I mean 🙂 I am now looking forward to learn more of bag making from the Windy-City bags book!
