Tisha from Quilty Therapy is up next with a “charming” design for you! Learn all about her sewing and see some of her recent quilts, then be sure to take a look at the upcoming tutorial…

From Tisha: Sewing has been apart of my life since childhood. One of my first memories is sitting at the sewing machine with my grandma saying my ABC’s. My grandma encouraged me to play with all the lovely fabrics she had from her mother’s sewing and quilting collection.

Fast forward to college and just feeling bored. Something was missing from my life, outside of studying, running, classes and work. After class one day I went to a big box store that sold fabric and purchased some remnants, and from there I was hooked. I’m mostly self taught with quilting, in the era prior to blogs and YouTube.

The type of fabrics I’m drawn to has changed over the years, but my quilt style has remained the same; I like simplified blocks with interesting fabric choices. My favorite projects are baby quilts and I make many of them every year. These are my favorites from the last few months.

Occasionally I do make larger quilts. They are more work but I adore the finished products.

Lotta Plus Quilt

There isn’t much time for sewing these days with a busy toddler, working full time and trying to log some running miles. Sewing and quilting is my stress outlet, hence the name Quiltytherapy.

You can find me on my blog at www.quiltytherapy.com, @Quiltytherapy on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Pop over and follow about my creative journey. This year I’m focusing on scraps, using my stash and sticking to my $100 fabric budget. Crazy, I know!
