This week we’re featuring our challengers’ kitchen linens sewing with the Whip It Up and Pixies collections from Ink & Arrow. You can find Ink & Arrow fabrics at your favorite independent quilt shops or online; check out their full selection of current collections here.

Would you like to participate in future fabric or pattern challenges? Sign up for our contributor’s newsletter (Contributor Community Newsletter option). This week we’ve seen Linda’s quilt-as-you-go placemats, Magdalena’s kitchen jar labels, Jenny’s cocktail napkins and Dena’s placemats and more.

Our next sewist in the Ink & Arrow Whip It Up Kitchen Linens Challenge is Bethany Raymond of Sew Not Perfect with a full set of new items for the kitchen. Bethany created several free kitchen-themed, free motion appliqué designs for you to download, plus a tutorial for a simple reversible apron, a framed appliqué design for the kitchen wall and kitchen-themed magnets!

Bethany writes, “…I’m a fan of the retro style featured on Kitchen Items & Phrases and also the humor of the sayings, but another fun aspect of this print is that the pattern repeat and dimension is perfect for making 1.5” covered buttons to use as magnets. You can easily Whip Up a few for your own fridge, or as a Mother’s Day gift, a bridal shower gift, or a hostess gift.” See more and learn how to make all of the items Bethany created at Sew Not Perfect.

Thank you to our talented challengers for sharing their creativity with us:
