    I’m looking forwaRD TO being outside this summer. I have some old jeans that I plan to cut up for a denim rag quilt, and I love doing this outside for a couple of reasons. 1- it’s dusty! LOL! 2-the bits & pieces of cotton are organic and will add to my compost. 3-sometimes birds use the pieces for their nests

    Not having a schedule, mainly taking my daughter to chorus and orchestra early in the morning. Color me grateful for her opportunities but a rest just the same is in order.

    With two kids in the summer, it is always sketchy about how much sewing I will actually do. Its a good trade off though. Lots of fun, sun, gardening, visiting, beach…. Perspective.

There is a pattern called Kaleidescape kites that I gave been wanting to make. This color scheme is just perfect for that.

    I recently finished all the blocks for a lattice quilt, with a print strip between 2 white triangles. I saw a really pretty lattice quilt on the internet which was made with a white strip between 2 print triangles, in similar colors to your giveaway bundle. If I won the bundle, this is the quilt I’d make. The quilt I saw was so bright and cherry in these happy colors.

    I spent some time looking at the Fat Quarter Shop two days ago — my first visit. There are too many choices to decide on one, or even just a few! So I’ll tell you something I’m looking forward to this summer — well, really this spring, maybe within the next two weeks: my daughter lives on a farm and several of their ewes just had lambs. I want to see the lambs while they’re still little. That’s what I’m looking forward to.

    I really wanted to dive in when the Moda Grunge was the basic of the month (20% off!) back in March but alas, I added everything I need to my cart for the quilt I will never make but is the only that I’ve ever vaguely “designed” and it still came out to 103$ and I can’t afford that right now! So yes, I would love me some of the blacks and reds from the grunge line the FQS carries.
