We’re ready to showcase more summer bags in our Manchester Metallics Challenge! Our challengers used the new (and soft!) Manchester Metallic fabric from Robert Kaufmann Fabrics to make a bag of their choice, and we’re highlighting the results all week long. Here are bags from Anne, Natalie and Sandy. Now we have Jenny of My Handmade Home, Michelle Morris of That Black Chic and Carrie Federer of carrie bee! We love the variety in these beautiful bags, and we hope you do too…

Jenny of My Handmade Home made a bicycle handlebar bag for travel essentials like a phone, bandaids, etc. Jenny loves the sheen of the bicycle appliqué in a Manchester Metallic, and she writes, “This has by far been one of my favorite projects ever. Nothing says summer like riding a bike and feeling the wind in your hair…”

Michelle Morris of That Black Chic made a Poolside Tote from Noodlehead patterns, and incorporated a great weaving technique with the denim for her bag. Michelle has a tutorial for the weaving on her site, plus lots of additional, fun photos.

Carrie Federer of carrie bee whipped up a Cargo Duffle, a free pattern from Robert Kaufman by Noodlehead. Carrie has lots of great tips for making the duffle on her site, plus a nice selection of photos of the extras involved in this pattern.
